Based on the City of Chicago’s recent prototype, Engine Company 70 is a state-of-the-art firehouse that features the latest technology, equipment, and user-oriented facilities that promote better living, training, and administration. The project achieved LEED-NC Silver certification through the use of sustainable design elements such as its expansive green roof, solar thermal panels, and locally-sourced and recycled materials.
