Freedom’s Path is an affordable housing community at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. The project adds a total of 50 apartments, in three buildings, that will provide supportive housing for veterans within the existing VA campus.

 Two existing buildings are contributing structures to the National Register of Historic Places

eligible Carl Vinson VA Campus. The adaptive reuse of these 1945 barrack buildings includes individual  

interior apartment buildouts with ADA accessibility upgrades, MEP modernization and code compliance upgrades, and historic restoration of the masonry façades, exterior elements and select finishes. Additions to both buildings accommodate new elevators and secure entry vestibules.

The project also includes a new one-story apartment building designed to be complementary to the historic buildings and campus.  Extensive site work has been undertaken on the complex’s 4.3 acres to support the new and existing buildings, including new ADA circulation, parking, civil engineering, and landscaping.
