Manhattan Building

Designed by William Le Baron Jenney in 1891, the Manhattan Building stands as one of the world’s oldest surviving skyscrapers that is supported by a skeletal structure. The project included a phased program for the restoration of the exterior brick, terra cotta, and window brick molds. The assessment, prioritization, and design work for the rehabilitation and repair of the façade demonstrates the commitment of the owners to preserve one of Chicago’s most significant structures.
